MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His global success has seen him enter mainstream Latin music. In 2017, his 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. In Medellin in 2017, Sony's La Industria Inc. released ADN his first long-player. It reached the number 8 spot at the top of the Top Latin Albums chart. In the following year, he joined Ozuna on his Top Five smash Vaina Loca. Mala Influencia came out as his collaboration with Noriel in 2020. The following calendar year Dopamina was his follow-up album. In 2021, he also performed a duet on TINI's streaming smash track Maldita Foto. 2000 also saw the huge hit La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo is from a musical background, both his parents and brother are also musicians. In interviews, Turizo has stated that music is essential. He learned how to play the guitar, saxophone ukulele, and piano as an infant. While his initial career choice was to become a veterinarian the brother Julian convinced him to take singing classes with an Cuban teacher and the end consequence of him discovering his gift as a singer altered the course of his life.
