Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig 21st September, 1983). 21 1982) is a famous American actress. Particularly, she played Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost television show, as well as Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. After her parents' divorce her parents separated, she moved to Worthington, Ohio to live at Los Angeles. She landed her debut role as Rachel's Room's main character in 2001 despite struggling with finances. The television film Murder in Greenwich where she played 15-years-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination of a Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford, the character she played in Lost from 2004 until 2005 was selected for an Screen Actors Guild Award. The actress also appeared in Alice as Alice in Malice in Wonderland which is the modern-day adaptation from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace reprised Shannon's role in Lost for two more episodes. This included the series final. The year 2013 saw Grace appear in the episode Californianation of the 6th Season. She portrays Faith who is both a star-gazer and groupie. Hank Moody, played by David Duchovny, falls for her. When she was in her teens she appeared in small roles in the films of her father and co-starred with her older brother in Donnie Darko the popular cult movie. Her next roles were in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, both 2002 and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal has received acclaim from critics for her performance in the erotic romance comedy drama Secretary (2002) and in the dramatic Sherrybaby (2006) both of which resulted in a Golden Globe Award nomination. She gained wider recognition after playing Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008), thanks to several successful commercial films that she was a part of the year 2006. In the film, her performance as Crazy Heart as a mother who is a single parent earned her nomination in an Academy Award Best Supporting Actress. The following year, she starred in dramatics and comedies: Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) and Won't Back Down (2012). Other roles are as an agent for the Secret Service in White House Down 2013, singing in Frank 2014, and as a singer in The Kindergarten Teacher 2018, where she is the title character. Gyllenhaal debuted as a director and writer in 2021 with her drama about psychological issues The Lost Daughter. For the film, she won the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and was nominated for an Academy Award.
